I purchased this coin at the Stacks sale last night. My $20 collection was missing this coin.

1862 $20 AU50 CERTIFICATION #47050388, PCGS #8937

My focus right now is on my double eagle collection. I plan on making a major revision (After the sale of my other coins at the upcomming Stacks auction) to my website to highlight this collection.

Very nice coin. Plenty of detail and no major distracting marks. Enjoy!

Tough civil war date, I had a couple of those in AU55 when you could get them for a little over $4k.

    Congrats!

I would sure enjoy a new thread recounting your experience selling your collection at Stacks, from auction house selection, negotiation, and your thoughts afterward. Many of us will face such a decision at some point and your insights would be illuminating.
