Something I have never posted before. A coin minted in Avignon by Pope Martin V (1417-1431). One Carlin (Ber.286). Rev "Santus Petrus et Paulus" Obv "Martinus PP Quintus". Something different for tonight.

I consider Carlos y Juana to be medieval, and this reminds me of that style, though a century earlier.
Are you starting a new area of collecting?
I have an example of this coin and it was represented to weigh 2.07 grams.

Do you know what the hand gesture he's making is supposed to mean back then?
He is giving his blessing. Seems to me like quite classic iconography for the Pope.
