Jumbo Holders - Oversized cards

For complete boxes that are larger than 8x10, does PSA fold them to fit in the holders or is the sender responsible for folding them to fit within the parameters?
Also, if they are folded, does PSA unfold and grade or grade based on the way they are received?
Thanks,

Isn't policy for PSA to never to alter an item - at least purposely.
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
Here’s an example. This item is much larger than 8x10 and looks to have been cut to fit in the holder rather than folded. I hate to cut something oversize and not receive a numeric grade or have it returned ungraded and charged the special of $50/per.

Years ago, I sent in a Bazooka complete box that was too big for the holder. PSA contacted me for approval to fold box on existing fold lines to fit in holder.
More recently, I sent in a photo that I thought would fit in the new "super size" holders and it was returned ungraded.
Maybe you could provide a little information on the item in question so we can help you?
I would be satisfied if they contacted me for approval to fold.
I have items similar to the link sent (1977 Chef Burger panels) along with Mid70s Hostess boxes, 80s Drake boxes and 87 Kraft boxes. All of which in the unfolded flat format exceed the 8x10, but appear to have been graded at some point. I was able to locate a pic of the Chef Burger and a Hostess box. I could not tell if the Hostess was cut or folder.

I missed your post this morning as I was responding at the same time.
PSA is rather inconsistent with "oddball" items. I haven't been submitting anything lately, but you might try contacting Cosetta or Gayle and ask ahead of time. Not sure if they still work there, but both seemed to try to help with my questions in the past.
I understand your feelings about cutting, I would try to get them graded without doing so as well.
You could also just send them in as is, and see what happens, but that doesn't seem to work very often.
I think you have a fair chance to get your items graded as long as they have fold lines.
Good luck with your grading!
