braddickbraddick Posts: 23,932 ✭✭✭✭✭

Dansco offered silver dollar albums for Early dollars and Liberty Seated dollars along with Trade dollars.
When it came to the most popular coin at the time- excluding Lincoln cents- Dansco provided a multiple of methods
of collecting them

I really like the Dansco albums. I just wish they'd get their problems sorted out. Probably have a hundred coins waiting on pages to put them in. I refuse to pay the wildly inflated prices for pages listed on eBay.

Has anyone heard how they are doing lately?

    DANSCO:

    "About Us
Dansco Corporation is a small, family-run business since 1937 and we ARE currently in production. We sell mainly through distributors across the United States. We relocated from Los Angeles, CA to Sumas, Washington beginning in November 2017. We postponed production for a few months during our transitional period and then again during the COVID. We closed again for a few months during a devastating flood in Sumas, Washington, but have since been producing the beautiful and quality albums that everyone loves.

    OTHER/OLDER UPDATES:

    April 19, 2023

We are currently running album 7070 US Type Album. This is a five-page book.
We have finished album 8184 Presidential Dollar 2007-2011 Inc Proof Only album.
We have finished album 8185 Presidential Dollars 2012 – 2016 Inc. Proof Only album.
We have finished album 8180 Susan B. Anthony Including Proof only issues
We have finished album 7101 Indian Head Cents
We will continue working on dollar albums at this time. We will follow dollar albums with half-dollar albums, most likely sometime mid-summer (example: Kennedy Half Dollars).

    December 27, 2022

We have finished album 8188 Innovation Dollars album P,D & S, from 2018-2024. It is a 7-page book in a 1 ¼” binder so it will fit into a 1 ¼” slipcase. Remember we plan on doing album 7189 (Date set) and 8189 (the second proof book) in late 2023.
We have finished the 8183 Sacagawea album which has been changed to a 7-page album in a 1 ¼” binder. Page 6 is from 2020-P through 2023-S Proof and page 7 is from 2024 – 2027 S Proof.
We are currently running 7183 and 7184 (Presidential Dollars) which we will follow with other dollar albums like Morgan and Peace Dollars.
September 15, 2022- Album #7188 for Innovation Dollars is now is ready for purchase! Please contact your local dealer/retail store for pre-orders.

September 1, 2022- Album #7182 for American Eagle Silver Dollars is available. Please contact your local dealer/distributor to purchase this item. Also, many people are asking about the Women’s Quarters album. We have also made the decision to make the Women’s Quarters album when all of the honorees have been released. As of today, only the honorees through 2023 have been released by the Mint. We would like to properly title the portholes. Thank you for understanding.

June 6, 2022- We are currently in production and have finished all penny albums. We are also replenishing material and albums we lost during the flood. We are currently in production on American Eagle Silver Dollars album #7182. This album is a continuation of the 7181 and begins with the Type II 2021 coin. The album should be available in a couple of weeks. We will follow with Innovation Dollars, and then the Sacagawea updates. General update pages and the Women Quarters album should be released by Christmas. This is a general timeline of what we will be working on through the end of this year. We thank everyone for their prayers, patience, and good wishes as we continue making the high-quality products we all love from Dansco. Our family thanks you.

November 15, 2021 UPDATE- Our town of Sumas Washington has been devastated by a flood. We are working to go through all of our lost material, product, etc. The cleanup is also going to take some time. It will easily be a couple of months before we begin to ship anything out. There are many in our town who are suffering from incredible losses in their homes as well. Please keep us in your prayers as we work through this very difficult situation. Check back with us in a couple of months. Thank you for understanding

March 2021 UPDATE- We began production beginning October 19, 2020, with a small crew. It is taking time for the albums to reach the distributors and subsequently, the retail stores but we are manufacturing albums. Until we are able to hire a full workforce, we will be manufacturing at a slower pace. We are simply grateful to all of you, our loyal customers for your patience and for supporting American jobs, especially during these very challenging times. Stay healthy and be safe. -Dansco

COVID-UPDATE: We began production in Sumas, Washington in February of 2020, but were forced to close temporarily due to COVID-19 in mid-March 2020. We were closed for over six months but are currently working with new social-distancing protocols that have allowed us to have a small workforce in place."

    #7172: Silver Dollars Date Set

    #7173: Silver Dollars 1878-1893

#7174 [Old Version]: Silver Dollars 1894-

Thanks @braddick ! Do you mind sharing a photo of the back page of the binder? The album number should be listed on there

    No problem.
    Here you go:

My understanding is this same album number is attributed to the 1878- 1999 Dansco too.

    I have the 7173 (1878-1893) and 7174 (1894-1935) empty, but well used.
