Fake roll in seller’s inventory—did not buy coin

When I saw this roll in seller’s other offers I did not buy the coin for which I was shopping. I like to see their other items and sold items before I commit. I can fake a machine-rolled end far better than this; not to mention the nickel end.
Edit: punctuation.

Agree that penny roll was definitely opened and rerolled😂🤣
I forgot to add that he listed it as OBW unsearched.
Interesting that you mentioned this. I too have over the last year begun checking the sellers store. One benefit is seeing a coin offered by someone selling mainly, let’s say, cards. I’ve got some good deals by judging from the offerings my chances of doing well. Thanks for posting about this. Every little thing helps.
That roll certainly screams “ what’s going on here “.
🎶 shout shout, let it all out 🎶
They prey on the ignorant. No reason be surprised been going on for longtime

I doubt 3 cent nickels were ever in bank rolls like that.
it takes all types to make things worse
There’s a rolling device that finds and puts PVDB reverses on the ends of rolls.
Just because a seller has some crap, does not mean they do not also have some hidden gems. These also may be on consignment and I do not know how many sellers turn away some items from a consignor.
Correct, but that roll was fake, not merely crappy. I won’t help him, consignation or not. I’ve sold junk for friends, but it was neither concocted or compiled fakery.
The coin that I considered was a slabbed ASE whose number I could verify.
There are a bunch of sellers on eBay that have been selling these things for years. Sigh...

Homemade rolls--anyone can do it. These sellers are making a fortune.
