Obviously, you are able to type - try Google.

I just tried PCGS Coin Facts web site. They list several varieties of these coins and under "weight" and "diameter" they show "N/A" which I assume means not available. There are several varieties and I imagine the weights and diameters vary by some small degree. Also, pewter is composed of primarily tin and it's sometimes alloyed by a small amount of lead.

Being able to type isn't the same as forming a coherent query.

That said, I'm not sure there is consistent composition data for the 1776 token.

Generally old pewter was mostly 70% tin and 30% lead although there could be traces of copper. I've dug a lot of early colonial pewter eating utensils. Peace Roy

Thanks all for the input, not so much the you can type comment. i guess some people feel the need to state the obvious, and i didnt really think id get such a smart answer. i wonder if my linguistic and writing skills need to get a tune up, before asking any more questions, or face the wrath and ridicule of someone who CANT HELP, me find an answer, but just wants to post snarky comment about how dumb i must be for not using google, and then others comment they dont know the specs either, so maybe i am dumb. Dumb to think i would find an easy answer,, or a dumb question to ask, because NOBODY knows the answer? At least the answer man, could have kept his comment to himself, if you dont know, you dont know, im trying to learn something new about coins, not get a schooling about google or my lack of typing skills. i DO appreciate any and ALL positive answers that help me on my journey of learning more about the continental dollar token

I think the response was less about this particular thread. FWIW

Nulte, what exactly is your point?

This site is flooded with people who WANT information everyday. Most offer very little in return. When you get critical of a snarky post and get defensive in general, many people will give you a pass. This site owes you nothing and I empathize with your position but that's just a fact.

    Have a nice day

Don't let the post of a few bother you. Just enjoy learning from those that are helpful. Most of the members here will give you the truth.

whats a fact? that the site owes me nothing? agreed. but im not about to allow myself to let others demean me, from just a question, without giving me the benefit of doubt, that i HAVENT already done research on, but STILL have not been able to figure out anything, so i post a question... im NOT a professional coin person, and the knowledge i have to share is nowhere near up to par for me to offer any opinions on others questions, but i hoped for a completely different response, FOR SURE, and never an intent to offend with my question, but some of the answers were beyond reproach, and just plain uncalled for in any book, but i APPRECIATE your candor, and wish others followed the same rule, politeness can go a long way. thanks again.

@Nulte It sounds like you have one that you are researching. Can we get some pics?

For anyone who wants to read the latest research on the 1776-dated continental "dollars", there is a well-researched two-part article in the 2020 Numismatist "The Myth of the Continental Dollar." Further developments can be searched in many E-Sylum issues.
