Image Correction Request in the Customer Service Center

Has anyone submitted an "Image Correction Request" in the Customer Service Center?

https://www.psacard.com/myaccount/customerrequestcenter

The PSA SecureScan image of one of my cards has what looks to be a small scrap of cardboard over the back bottom right of the card. I have the card in hand and there is nothing on the card in that area. The scan makes it look like there is paper loss on the card, when there isn't.

I see I can submit a request to have it fixed, but I assume they will want me to send the card to them to image. I can send them my scans, but I assume they will want to image it.

Has anyone used this and how was it handled? It is not worth sending my card in to fix an image issue.

they image the card when its in hand. unfortunately nothing they can do as far as I know. I've seen a few images that were not centered correctly and some of the slab was cropped out. my guess is they won't be able to do anything about it now.

I would think the image correction request is only if when the cert is run, the incorrect card appears. just like scanning cards at home and a hair or piece of lint is on the platen, only way to fix it is a re-scan.

Thanks for the reply. I initially reached out to Cosetta (who replied at 8pm) that I should run this through the image correction request. As you stated, I assume they will want the card to image it, so, since the error is not huge (wrong card, etc). I think I will just leave as is.

I had an order come back this spring that had about 6 images that were blurry, etc... on the registry. I contacted them through their online portal/customer service. First, it took about a week for them to reply, then another week or so for them to verify the images in question were incorrect (they asked me to upload scans of each card front) and then more time for them to get instructions together.

I had to create a new order, send them back to PSA and they rescanned them. They did give me a code so the entire procedure was free. I got them back quickly. They did offer to just remove the bad scan so I could upload my own if I chose not to send them back.

All in all, a pretty easy fix.

Thanks for the reply. When you mentioned the above quote, we’re they going to accept your scans into their database or was the upload just the upload to your item in your registry? I assume the latter?

I don't know if I even asked them. Probably just into my registry like the others, but I don't know. I sent mine back to PSA and avoided that. It was all very easy.

they would likely just remove their scans and leave it blank so you can upload your own for your registry like its always been pre-scanning. they wouldn't accept your scans.

what they should do, simple request I made via the app feedback, was to allow users to override the PSA secure scan photos as the default photos for their personal registry. in previous months, the PSA photos were terrible and I wanted my scans to be the default. but lately they have gotten much much better. but it would still be nice to be able to choose your default card scans in your own registry but still keep their scans associated with the cert.

I keep securescan images turned off, so my images are default. I haven’t had an issue yet. I don’t bother with their scans, but good to hear they are improving!
