Local Original Commem Newps
Found these today at a local shop. The Envelope had 5 spots. The other 3 were probably lost to time but this was a very cool find.
I’ll send to PCGS to see what they grade. 65-67 range I’d say.

Nice! That is one of my favorite classic commems and the envelope is a great bonus. Post the grades when you get them!

Cool, I was just looking at a similar envelope holder thingy for the Roanoke commemorative on eBay

Nice coins, those two halves look like they might well have been together since the time of issue, and could have been stored in that mailer as well. Many coins taken from mailers were exposed to the elements and have very little luster, making them less than gem MS65 in today's market

Nice Pick up! The tab toner will be a keeper along with the holder. The other one I would auction at GC to fund future purchases. They should grade 65 or 66. How much was the holde...or was that a throw in for a bundle deal? You did very well. Congrats!
It all came together. No doubt they came out of that holder. The dealer bought them over the counter in that holder. Only other chances I’ve had to buy ones in the original holders were Lexingtons in the wood box? And they were terrible looking.
Can we get some better pics of the coins?
