1908-D No Motto Indian Eagle - Worth Regrade?

I have owned this for many years and I believe it may be under-graded.

Thoughts from the group. Currently MS-62 CAC

Not from what I think I can see. The Indian’s cheek and lower-right neck areas look quite rough, as do many of the headdress feathers.

You’re welcome. Others might have different opinions from mine, however.😉

I don’t see it above 62. CDN CPG CAC $5700, non CAC $4750. Congrats on sticker. I would price it at the $5700 CAC price.

I definitely would not take risk of losing sticker. That’s what $950 plus MV on 62 cac. Now go find that CAC hungry investor guy that wants it and bank your extra money.

I like it as a 2cac, I think the chatter previously mentioned by Mark and some disturbances in the fields could preclude 3. That said, I certainly wouldn't be clutching my pearls if it ended up in a 3 holder, I'm looking at auction records now and your coin does appear to be nicer than several MS63 (non cac) graded coins of the same issue.

I really like the eye appeal and character, but it looks more like a high end 58 to me.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

Surfaces are not smooth; plus the toning is unusual making it hard to see luster.

Why don't you send it in for reconsideration?
The up side would be $500 in value. The down side is the expense of sending it, and if it does get the + another trip to CAC. A lot of airfare for maybe a $500 increase less fees

Looks like a good 62. I like the color.

I don’t recommend resubmitting the coin. But if need be, the coin could be restickered, by resubmitting it to CAC, along with a picture of the coin in its previous holder (with the CAC sticker).

If it was my coin I would submit as reconsideration if I thought it might be undergraded. For $100 there is $3500 of upside value potential per PCGS guide.

Where did you get those numbers?
    MS-62 @ $4000
    MS-62+ @ $4500
    Even a MS-63 is @ $6500
    I don't see $3500 anywhere

    Whoops. There’s a $2500 difference between a 62 and 63 which is still significant.
