Dansco 7070 United States Type Set "The Continental Line" of albums

braddickbraddick Posts: 24,180 ✭✭✭✭✭

Before the infamous 7070 United States Type Set DANSCO offered the Continental Line of albums including the U.S. Type Set. Of course any coin minted after 1965 is excluded yet Dansco did include the gold page.

@braddick- Can we see the inside pages?

    Yes.
I'll take some photos tomorrow morning.
The first is missing a few coins and the second a few more.

Well, my wife is watching The Bachelorette so I've got time now...

(These will be most likely out of order. I have two of the 1837 Reeded Edge halves yet the holes in these albums are too small for the coins! Also the half dimes and the 3c silver slip between the pages so I haven't included them. I am missing some dimes and the one better set is more complete than the "beater set")

I really like that @braddick, thanks! It has that classic look to it. Those old pages and coin seen to compliment each other. High grades or lowballs, there's just something about type sets that seem to work. 👍🏻 Very nice! 👍🏻

    very nice!

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.

Coins in old albums look so much nicer than in slabs.

Nice! I wonder why the Trade $ was put in out of order? Some super coins in there, thanks for sharing!

Even in today's catalogs it is sometimes listed after silver dollars and before gold coinage. Though it might also be related to the fact that the series was still demonetized at the time the albums were printed.

Is that four seated dollars I count?? Man, those were the toughest ones for me to acquire and I only have two!
