1993 baseball card newsletter. "Topps" among collectors!

It's really amazing how much certain cards have appreciated in 30 years. Did anyone back then think 1952 Topps cards of even Mantle, Robinson and Mays becoming 6 or 7 figure cards? (It was hard enough to believe 1992 Frank Thomas Rookie Sensations were $100 right out of the pack.)

A look back always has 2 sides. Cards you wished you kept and cards you wished you sold before the bottom dropped out.
I have the entire set of rookie sensations somewhere. I remember trading, buying and hunting for each one in 1992.

A 1952 Mantle in mint condition was valued at $32,000 back then. My how times have changed.

I wouldn’t necessarily say times have changed. It’s really the same thing. I couldn’t spend $32k then and I can’t spend $11m now.
1999 - dan snyder bought the redskins for $800,000 million
2023 - dan snyder sales the redskins for $6 billion.
