Eye appeal on this 1901 $10 eagle should lead to a prominent position in a U.S. gold type. A fairly consistent layer of orange-gold toning also contains embedded copper shades which enhance the presentation. Micro granular mint frost covered motifs and fields. The result is brilliant frosty luster and swirling cartwheels. This Philadelphia strike is "common" and affordable but comes with a premium for its superb preservation state. Housed in PCGS Gen 3.0 (1993-1998) old green holder with CAC approval.
