Korean Mint Sets

Someone I know visited Seoul last month and secured these three Korean mint sets (2021, 2022, 2023) for me...

I find it interesting that the 1 won and 5 won coins are still issued for inclusion in mint sets. They stopped making them for circulation back in 1992.

Yes, those two denominations have only been produced for inclusion in the annual mint and gift sets. They've struck 'em in proof finish for special sets in years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2020. I wrote a 400-page book in Korean coins.

South Korean Coins in the Era of Development is the name of the book. I have a sale going on, so the price is a little lower for a time.
