Is this 8 in the date normal?

Had gotten this nickel in change a few weeks ago it's in great condition but just noticed the 8 in the date looks squeezed for lack of a better word. I would appreciate any comments

That is normal for the 1938 Nickel.
Just google it to compare with other 1938’s.
Nice find in change though.

My first thought, not a match with the other digits of the font.
Why would you sign off on, that, that, image ?
Does it look like that in hand ?
It looks like someone, was ice skating, with a few brandy's.
