I was sorting some Mercs out of 90% and I thought IGWT looked a bit thicker on this one, but maybe I’m seeing things.

I did. I’m thinking it’s not the DDO, since there is no separation in the U, S, or T. But I thought wear might have flattened those elements, causing the extra thickness. As I said, I figured it was a long shot.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

I will have to say no - the doubling on the listed variety is east/west, where the extra thickness of the date on your coin is north/south. Just excessive wear in my opinion, not a doubled die.
