Ebay and counterfeits. must read
I've been messaging a seller in Australia who is selling two US dollars: 1879s and 1893s. I saw the 79 and messaged him it was a fake. He, after several messages, figured out I was correct but asked me to look at his other dollar and advise on that. Well, here's the interesting thing.... it is not up on the US Ebay platform. ** It is up on the Australian ebay site**.
I told him I could not find the item and that ebay said it was not found (325703640876).
He said it's there. So, I went to the Australia ebay site but going down the main ebay page and switching countries. Sure enough it is there plain as day.
Here's the pic and I did advise it, too is a fake.

So you’re telling me there’s a whole other hidden coin auction house potentially full of gems?
Clearly the “3” does not look right - likely altered from another digit.
Definitely counterfeit, just look at the "G" and "O" in God.
Coin in post.
Authentic.
Type collector, mainly into Seated. -formerly Ownerofawheatiehorde. Good BST transactions with: mirabela, OKCC, MICHAELDIXON, Gerard
It does appear that other countries do not honor pulling counterfeits that are not their own.. Ebay pulls it in the US but not elsewhere. Yes, but maybe not full of gems.... yet.
