Ok who here has seen any of the rookies play?

In the NBA. Has anyone saw any of the new rookies play? Who is doing better then expected and worse. How is Rush doing. I have been trying to see how he was doing but haven't found information on him yet.
Interested in Kobe Bryant, Game Used, Rare Inserts, Rookies, and Autos.

I read on nba.com that in one of the first summer games Rush scored 9 points in 31 minutes.. that's about all I remember image

i've seen and read about the Wizards rookies... Dixon and Jeffries are playing GREAT... they have both gotten great remarks from coaches and i saw them play well with my own eyes... Dixon has been lightin it up and doing a great job of directing the offense... Jeffries has been playing well inside and handling the other small forwards... i'm very happy so far...

  • rush also had 23 points on around 10-18 shooting in another summer leage game against the mavs.

Yeah I remember that game Rush had against the Mavs. He was awesome. Definitely lighting it up.

the Hawks can be pretty good next season, when they have Ratliff (the most underrated defender in the league) back, Crawford, that rookie, Shareef (the most underrated player in the league) and Terry (the most underrated PG in the league)

The Hawks were a big disappointment to me last year. They weren't nearly as good as I thought they were. If they do bad this year they will be getting a new coach I think.

well their starting center was injured, their 6th man was injured so ya can't really blame them..
  • DerrickDerrick Posts: 4,287 ✭✭
I agree. But, they also had many injuries last season, and they actually started off good, but then the injuries started to take it's toll on the Hawks. The Hawks got Dickau who is supposed to be really good defensively and can make plays for others. Look out for Dickau and Terry in the backcourt, along with Shareef, Ratliff, and DerMarr Johnson down low. Got a pretty good bench as well. The Hawks might actually make the playoffs this season...lol image
  • PUT IT THIS WAY MARCUS HASLIP IS A BEAST......NICE SHOOTER AND DIXION IS DOING AIGHT FROM WHAT I HEARD...
  • Jay Williams has been playing great for Chicago, I honestly think that they could make the playoffs or atleast get close. This is a probably lineup for them:

    Center-Eddy Curry
    Power Forward-Tyson Chandler
    Small Foward-Jalen Rose
    Shooting Guard-Jay Williams
    Point Guard-Jamal Crawford

They are looking for a veteran big man so Chandler and Curry probably wont always be starting.

you know.. I HOPE that Oakley goes to the Lakers, he'd fit in just great + it would be great to end his career
  • Hey Chrisdeballa, do you even follow sports? It seems there's this team called the Duke Blue Devils, who Jay Williams used to play POINT GUARD for. He was then drafted by the Chicago Bulls to play POINT GUARD. The one knock against him was that maybe he was a little undersized at 6'1"...for a POINT GUARD.

My not so subtle point is there is no way in heck you will ever see Williams at shooting guard. No chance. The Bulls are trying to trade Crawford.

As for the Hawks, zero chance Demarr Johnson can play anuything but shooting guard, the guy is 6'10" and he weighs about a buck fifty. I think they'll end up moving terry or using him as scoring off the bench.

I heard the Suns rookies, Jacobson and Stoudamire, both looked GREAT. But remember, it's summer ball...last year at this time Zach Randolph tore up summer league ball, averaging 26 points and 12 rebounds...and then he couldn't get off the bench in Portland. It's a whole different world.
  • my miami heat are doing awesome..their record is like 7-0 or 8-0. unbeaten!

also, caron butler is injured but was cleared to play this week. rasual butler (heats 2nd round pick is tearing up the summer league!)..

i live in la and seen the lakers play on the news. mark madsen is what surprising me! i saw him drive in the lane and dunked! i used to think madsen was just a scrub but he can really dribble too! image

    Lakers will be improved.. image
I mean, Madsen might actually start to play, Medvedenko can do some great things comin' off the bench, George will be their 6th man, Kobe will be improved (pretty amazing that he still improves), the roll players will do their job, Fish will hit the 3's and guide the offense and Shaq will dominate, WHAT A TEAM! image
  • Madsen is still a scrub...it's SUMMER LEAGUE! The competition is way watered down. Madsen didn't suddenly just get good.

Remember, during last years summer league the 3 names you kept hearing were Kwame Brown, Zach Randolph and Tony parker...those guys were tearing up the summer league. Only Parker had any kind of impact at all as a rookie.

That being said...I think Rush will be a steal for the Lakers...that guy is just too good to get for Lindsey freakin' Hunter...Toronto has lost it.

Lol yeah i made a mistake it's supposed to be Jay Williams at Point and Crawford at the SG. Answering your question: Yes, yes i do follow sports, especially the home teams. Lol. As far as I've heard they have not been trying to trade Jamal, no rumors in the Tribune or anything on the news about it, so i don't exactley know where you got that from. Thanks, ChrisdAballa
  • chris, i'm sorry to say but crawford is a pg also along w/ jay williams.

also, bulls are trying to trade him because they already got jay williams.

  • << <i>chris, i'm sorry to say but crawford is a pg also along w/ jay williams. >>

yes i know that but they said they were going to try using him as a shooting guard for the bulls.

  • << <i>also, bulls are trying to trade him because they already got jay williams. >>

I don't think they are trying to trade them because they got Jay Williams and then they said they will try using Jamal at sg but if not he will probably back up jay. They have best whos a free agent and guyton whos a free agent and neither of them want to stay in chicago.
  • yeah..they're gonna try to let crawford play sg but this guy doesnt even have an outside shot.
