    Surface scratched near his hair and soft corners likely put this as a high end PSA 4. Bottom left corner looks like it might be altered, so that’s the only other consideration. Great eye appeal on this one 👍

    Since the OP’s family is the original owner that’s presumably just a product of the dull cutting edge. Too bad about the scratches, otherwise it looks like it would be a really nice 5 or 6.

    I'd be more comfortable buying it in a PSA holder. I'll bet I'm not the only one.

    I'm not a card guy but ultimately PSA might be the route we'll take with it.
