This guy was a hitting machine. Literally. Everyone talks about Henderson being the greatest lead-off hitter of all-time, but they fail to remember Mr. Cobb. Ty Cobb is probably the greatest hitter of all-time and lead-off hitter of all-time. Ted who?

Ty Cobb had a LIFETIME career average of .366! That's not a career year, or a great season. That's a CAREER average, not to mention he played in the dead ball era.
