Some (most?) of the autographed cards these days just show a random squiggle to be passed off as a signature. Lets see some nice penmanship on cards. I'll start with this nugget from Charlie Gehringer, 'The Mechanical Man'. People just don't sign like this any more:

#1 Gino Cappelletti master set
#1 John Hannah master set
Also collecting Andre Tippett, Patriots Greats' RCs, Dwight Evans, 1964 Venezuelan Topps, 1974 Topps Red Sox
Usually I'd pick Maurice Richard as one of my favorite signatures, but I also have always enjoyed this one for penmanship:
The Simpsons - Cletus's Mark

Anything signed by Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio or Harmon Killebrew would apply here.

I always thought Tom Seaver and Mariano Rivera were beautiful autos but I just looked at them again and if you didn't know who wrote them then you wouldn't know after looking at them. Harmon Killebrew and Johnny Bench are good ones.
Edited to add: Not the best example out there, but I think it's the only one I have
hey jimq,
I totally dig your Hillshire...That's Pretty Cool...
Here's a nice Killebrew.
Most of these I pulled from packs or thru a promotion.
I do have some graded like Mariano Rivera who IMO has a great sig.
I just found this scan - one of my best heritage pulls - a sig you can still read of Ryan.
One of the nicest Fernando autographs I've seen.. thing of beauty
Mike that's a beautiful Ryan.
Thanx Steve.
Here's another that came back 10/10 from PSA.

hey bswhiten,
Your Dale Proof Run is Outstanding...Oh Yeah That's Cool...
I am partial and this isn't a card I particularly like, but it has a decent Garvey auto. His earlier signatures were very nice. It's gotten very sloppy in recent times though.
always been a fan of KGJr's auto and specifically purchased this card because of the clarity and boldness of it.

Good stuff, guys. I can always appreciate a nice quality signature on a card.
Mantles sig is pretty iconic and possibly my favorite. I have a two of his autos, one on a picture and another one on some hotel's letterhead. No pics, but we all know that signature. I love Pedro Martinez, Paul Molitor, and Andre Dawson's too.
Good call.

Ben Hogan, like many from that Era, is always a well done signature.
The Gracie's all have beautiful signatures.
I’m impartial to The Chicken, Ted Giannoulas. You can read each letter every time he signs.
I know the topic is signed cards but I'll share these two signed hats by The Great One. They were signed at different golf events and the difference is quite startling.
hey oilers99,
That's cool...
i tracked down the Golden Bear last month -- one of the better John Hancocks around
also got him on a card that's currently in Newport Beach
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
