Here is a nice looking coin and was wondering if anything special:
Love that Milled British (1830-1960)

Nothing special that I can see. It is one of the two reverses that year.
I see them on eBay with an asking price of $7.00- 8.00

Bingo! This is perhaps the rarest currency coin of the decimal era. I could only find vague mention of perhaps one other specimen from a 2008 (!) Anniversary or Celebration Specimen set - maybe there are some others out there.
The significance is this is the Lion reverse from 2008 and before and all likelihood is extremely rare.
This coin if you find at 7, 8 or 100x that price (as per Greenstang) is probably a very good bargain.

BTW, this is basically the British version of the 1913 Liberty nickel, though it is the reverse that was held over....

Well, I sent it to the Royal Mint Museum who [eventually] got back to me with the following - see next post...

Nice job. With the letter it will be more valuable. Thanks for share it here.
Wonder how much it sold for?
Congrats!!!

Yes, that was the other specimen sold in 2015 and nobody was sure at the time if it was even authentic; it sold for 750 pounds plus commission - that a great price if someone was to risk it.
So two known of a currency coin that had a reverse type from earlier years - that is a lot like the purported 1959 Wheat Cent that was, if real, struck after the switchover to the memorial reverse.
