My definition of magenta was a bit off on the Texas Commem. This one from D. Carr’s Moonlight Mint is a little bit on point.

Magenta?..... Not making this easy for us gold guys, but I'll try and give it a go.

On my 1799 $10 small stars (55CAC), there is some reddish toning trying to bleed through the lettering of the word "STATES" at 12:00 on the reverse. Im not sure if it can truly be classified as “magenta" but I think it’ in the ballpark. This particular area happens to be my favorite part of the coin. Right where the toning is, on the upper part of the reverse, the mirror-like fields really pop likely due to a lack of crust in that spot. If Im able to catch the light at just the right angle, this one's appearance really just melts my heart ❤️🤓.
