Yes, I have a few weeks ago. It was my first time visiting the store and buying something there.
Eric is an incredibly nice guy and extremely knowledgeable. Honest to a fault and extremely easy to deal with. I always look forward to seeing him. Been doing business with him since 1986.

...and I've been doing business with him for longer. :-)

Eric is extremely knowledgeable and honest. When my dad was in his late seventies Eric hired him to help out in his shop, something I'll always remember.
The reason I ask is that I called them last week to find out what they were paying for Silver and gold and who ever answered the phone seemed like they didn't understand what I was talking about. They said if I had silver coins to sell I would have to bring them in to be " appraised ". The whole conversation seemed very weird and I thought maybe the company had been sold and had new ownership. You know as well as I that any coin dealer should be able to quote their buy/sell price automatically. I haven't done business with them for over ten years so I didn't know what to make of the whole thing.

When I was there a few weeks ago I did see them buying a bunch of junk silver dimes and wheat cents from a collection. They ran them through a counting machine. I do remember they paid 2 cents for each wheat cent and I think something like $14 per every dollar’s worth of dimes if that makes sense. That is just my recollection.
@Lazybones said earlier, "Honest to a fault". I can't say who answered the phone, but the response in general doesn't surprise me.
Eric doesn't exactly have a buy/sell price. He'll pay you what your coins are worth. If you think you have junk silver, and he thinks it's worth more than junk, he'll pay more.
Quick story... I was in the store once, chatting with a "little old lady" while he was looking at what she wanted to sell. She made a comment that she hoped to get enough for a nice dinner... and she left with something like like $1500.
Don't worry about getting a price on the phone. Whatever you have, he'll treat you right.
Doesn’t look like a very secure building.
Thanks I feel better now. I live in Florida now so I'm trying to help my daughter via long distance.
Have a good weekend.
