Grading opinions 1958 Don Mossi (white version)

Thinking of grabbing this card for my near complete 58 set and would like to send it in for grading. These are the only pics posted by the seller. Looking for opinions on it. Thanks.

Thanks. I was thinking the bottom corners will hurt this one. Centering seems good.

Ears are off center left to right.

Too funny! 2 Tiger fans posting within seconds of each other. We should have had him in 1954 judging from the back of his card.

6 but depending on whose grading it could be a 3

I may be an outlier but I'm going to say PSA 3.

That's what I see too. I got a 64 Mays back recently as a 3 that had better corners than this one.

The left edge on the rear, small stain on front, corners...I'm thinking 3.5 to 4.5 when compared to recent submissions of mine.

The color on the back looks great. Hard to know what it really looks like because camera settings like hdr/wdr and filters can make colors appear slightly better.

Assuming no creases or dents on surface, I'd say 4 to 4.5

Everytime i see one of Mossi's cards it makes me think "Most Valuable Ears".

    I’m thinking 4.

Just curious- is the rest of your '58 set graded? If not, how does this one in general compare to the others?

I think it is fine- I would be satisfied with this one raw and as it is. As for a grade? Based solely on the image, I suspect it is in the 4.5 to 5.5 range depending on how the surfaces look as one tilts and rotates the card. Can't offer a specific number without going through my grading process which simply may be different than others

I am at about 85% completed with my 58 set, they are all graded anywhere between 5 to 8.5, this Don Mossi white team version is very interesting in that it seems less available than the yellow team version which is the rarer version. I have had the Mossi yellow version for a while now, but the white version seems less available on ebay. I focus on centering with my cards, I would rather have a 6 nicely centered than an 8 not as well centered. As for this one, I picked it up cheap seeing it looks adequately centered for my taste, but now I'm not so sure about grading it as I like to have at least a minimum 5 in the collection. I have dozens of 58's raw that are mostly fair at best and this Mossi may join them now. My opinion after receiving it today is borderline 5 at best. But who knows with psa's current grading standards. I have had a couple of disappointments lately in some of my subs where I received at least 2 grades lower than I expected.

I am less convinced that standards change-It is more of a perception of the card that can change over time. And that perception has changed mainly because the way cards were handled and stored 60-75 years ago was substantially different than today.
