    The sentimental value far outweighs any possible numismatic value. I would guess the total for the pair would be under $300.

    I don't think so. Nice notes but certification is quite expensive & not sure it is worth your while. Just keep them protected in decent PVC-free currency sleeves. Store them in a dry place.

    Did you want them appraised or certified.
    If you just wanted them appraised, Steve_in_Tampa has already done that for you.

    Nice mementos. Get some large bank note clear plastic sleeves, the thicker ones. Carefully insert each one and enjoy. Good luck. Peace Roy

    "Horse Blanket" was a typical term applied to these Large size notes.

    Great score, now you'll see the art aspect of our historic currency where the fine line work engraving impresses as you look closer!
