I’ve been doing a lot of research on this rookie and everything thing checks out all the right colors,
fleer sign the logo, the Chicago jersey the border around the card the 27.2 the bull eyes. Any experts out there, that can help me better ? Thanks.

At initial glance it appears real, but you need to take better pics out of the case for folks here to tell for sure.

For sure. A buddy of mine tried to get an inherited Clemente rookie (?) graded that his dad kept in a screw-down for a long time, but PSA wouldn't do it because it had been flattened. They wouldn't verify it's authenticity due to that.

Can’t tell for sure but the screw down appears to be recessed, which would be good news.

  • Looks good to me, get a jewelers loop or magnifying class and look at the area between Chicago and 23 on the jersey. Copies cannot duplicate the black dot matrix patterns on a micro level. Looks like a really nice six provided there are no surface issues.

If ya take it out of that dirty screw down, one would see the card more clearly.

    Anyway.

    Fake.

Notice how the "black" lines are reduced to "print dots" - sure indicator of a copy. Also "Premier" shouldn't be print dots.

    Real one.

It also appears the black outlines under the two points of the ribbon/arrow are misaligned. The black outline below the left arrow should not be to the left of the yellow tip.

Can you get a closeup of the ball on the back lower right corner?

Everything in these last two scans looks great. AVG is perfect spacing because AV are close together. Ball on bottom right of rear has the visible lines. The details in all the lettering is spot on. The colors on the front are perfect. You have the easy to spot ghost, off color yellow arrow, etc.

You could sell it to a friend for the minimum necessary to get free authentication. If it's not legit then you get your card back and some of the funds too and you're not out much. It wouldn't be PSA certified but you could do that next.

Unfortunately yours is not authentic. You can tell by the image crispness (or lack thereof) on the front. Notice the !grey tones on his face in the fake one and the bleeding of his jersey neck line.

    Real

    Yours

Even more pronounced is the white wristband of the Bulls player. The fake is much fuzzier and the crowd looks more like a Monet painting.

    Real

    Yours

Last, the hardest thing to fake are the seam lines on the basketball on the card back. You will see them faintly on a real card and the edges of the ball and NBA will not bleed. Also notice the red/white color tones of the real card stock, which is nearly impossible to replicate without the original Fleer paper stock.

It is 100% a counterfeit card. The back tells the whole story if the lack of fur on all edges didn't make one suspect to begin with.
