NOT TRUE
Several outlets picked up a story floating around which suggested the Pistons - Knicks – Wolves were pondering a three way deal involving Latrell Sprewell, Wally Szczerbiak and Jerry Stackhouse. Pistons’ president Joe Dumars told reporters there was zero truth to the deal, and he was NOT moving Jerry Stackhouse saying to media "That deal there, that three-way deal they are talking about, that's not going to happen... It's not like Minnesota and New York called me and made that offer. It's like Ernie Grunfeld said the other day, if you have a guy like Stack or Sprewell, people are going to call on them and you may get to talking about them and then stuff gets out... If I wanted to make a deal, I could make a deal. But I haven't. If there was a deal to be done, I would have done it already... I tell you, if Stackhouse thought any of these things were legitimate, he would have called me… And I haven't heard a word from him. I have had many more calls about Jon Barry and Ben Wallace, but their names never get out there. It's always Stack. And this won't be the end of it. It's just his name is so big."

Yesterday saw only 3 official signings, but several players came to terms on deals and will be signing contracts later this week among them are Devean George and his 3 year $16 million deal, with a 4th year option… Raef LaFrentz agreed to a 7 year $60 million deal with Dallas… Danny Ferry will be re-signed by San Antonio to a 2-year contract... Gordan Giricek is expected to sign in Memphis... J.R. Bremer signed in Boston for a non-guaranteed deal worth roughly $375K... Emanuel Ginobili agreed to a deal with the Spurs for 2 year and $2.9 million… Printed reports suggest Larry Hughes is close to a three deal in Washington, and may have been told he’d start… Its rumored Scott Williams may be close to a deal to return to Milwaukee… The Knicks may offer Utah restricted free agent Jarron Collins their $1.4 million exception. Its rumored that Utah has not made a serious offer beyond their offer sheet worth about $500K…

As far as the signings, if you don't know who Emanuel Ginobili for the Spurs is, you will...he was a STUD in Europe, and could definitely develop into a big time NBA guy.
and uw, i think stack is overrated. i'm taking wally as the best of those 3 so i think ny is the winner of that trade. not just looking at the talents of the 3 but look at wally..he's still young whereas spree is in his prime and stack is heading there.
