I have my (collection) inventory just about where I want it and 800 certified error coins worth about 600K (retail).
We struck a deal on our first home purchase last week and have to come up with a truck load of cash in the next few weeks so Im looking to hold or sell coins and not buy at the present time.
Congrats Chris! Getting your first home is a huge step!
Thanks bro.
Sold off some stocks on Thursday to get the rest of the cash needed to purchase the house outright with no mortgage, what a great feeling
Coins I collect are major errors & some Daniel Carr fantasies.
I am good with never acquiring another coin, but from time to time something interesting pops up for sale.
Over the last 44 years there have been months or years when I bought nothing.
Cherrypicker at heart, so finding value...
Problem free, strike, varieties/VAM, color, high grade
A few different arrows in the quiver
I enjoy building MS grading sets...
Biggest limitation...
Living in a Coin Show wasteland and dealer contacts.
Alot of common dates in unpopular series, and a disjointed collection...but I have never lost money since adopting the above approach.
Great satisfaction with the raw to made 'em approach.
At some point the knowledge and $$$ will intersect and the preparation will lead to a nice 7070 quest
BST: KindaNewish (3/21/21), WQuarterFreddie (3/30/21), Meltdown (4/6/21), DBSTrader2 (5/5/21) AKA- unclemonkey on Blow Out
My goal is an original (almost impossible) across the board VF Seated quarter set (minus the 73-CC NA). I have the entire set, but many need upgraded. That is enough for me and I may not see it complete in my lifetime anyway.

No patience for it. But if I had it, it would be to fund my actual collecting interests.
How about family, friends, entertainment, retirement goals and other interests?
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍
