1830-TF Central American Republic 1 Real

I bought this coin from a quite popular Ebay seller, winning the auction at $21 and change. About the cheapest price you'll find on a CAR coin.

Pretty nice coin, aside from the fact that it's been holed three times. As I understand, many of these are found holed because the indigenous peoples of Latin America would wear silver and gold around their necks. (Today, a significant portion of the population in Guatemala and Honduras is indigenous.) I do not know why this one was holed three times, but maybe a certain tribe did things that way.

Thought it was a pretty enough design and a nice enough overall coin, so...

"You can't get just one gun." "You can't get just one tattoo." "You can't get just one 1796 Draped Bust Large Cent."

“Apart from that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?”

It was holed three times like that because it wasn’t at the bottom of the jewelry piece, but in the middle. It was probably a piece of chainmail-like jewelry.
