1793 Wreath Cents, S-9. This is the most common of the 1793 Wreath Cent varieties.
The 2nd example shows heavy pitting on both obverse and reverse and some collectors will consider this undesirable.
In spite of this it has charm that appeals to me - because of this I have kept it in my collection.

@Eddi , no explanations are necessary. All wreath cents are interesting, desirable, and cool. I’d rather look at these than any late dates in high grade with pops of many hundreds.
Both of mine were scavenged.
This was in a Genuine- Good Details holder with no mention of the tougher Lettered Edge variety, and deeply discounted. A little TLC to gently remove the crud, submission form specifying the variety, and a score:

Very nice 9/6!! Yours looks to be a later die state?
Yes die state 2. There is a die state 3, which is terminal. This was a bucket list coin for quite awhile; this was a raw coin from an estate collection that I got first shot at about 12
years ago, that I recently got slabbed. Tough coin to find above VG.
Re: your 1817…..is that a “peaking mouse”, or is she just excited to see us all? 😉
Yes... the 1817 is the "Mouse on Head" variety... I believe it's N-7. I was excited to get her for cheap!!

That is quite an accomplishment, @Walkerguy21D ! well done and congratulations .
(I am totally ignorant of the submission and encapsulation process, but do know enough to know that going from a Good Details to a Straight grade is likely not an easy thing).

Just to ease your conscience about undesireable 1793 Cents, you may give me your most undesireable 1793 Cent and I'll not tell anyone you gave it to me.
Those are some MOST desireable coins you have listed, to me. I know OF some who would label some undesireable, but I don't KNOW anyone that would.
Thank you for sharing some most beautiful pieces of Numismatic History.

Thank you very much for your comments, Jim. My apologies for replying so late.
PS- I'll keep you in mind regarding that pitted 1793 S-9
These are the most important half cents in my collection:
The 1795 is from from the Norweb Collection sale in 1988.

That 1793 Half Cent is absolutely gorgeous! Wow!
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
The color looks acceptable but there might be some roughness behind Ms. Liberty's head that could prevent a straight grade... PCGS has been particularly tough on early copper recently.
