$1000 note. Thoughts?

I don't do currency but an extended family member sent me this (her in-law's) and asked about it.
I think the in-law may live near Orlando, FL. I don't.

So, if they wanted to do the right thing on this, would they keep it raw or send to service? Would a dealer do it?
Any guess on approximate value (going just by the photos)?

Not sure they want to sell right now but they do definitely want to make sure they know what they have and how best to handle it.


I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    She is in Florida, near Orlando.

    Is there a trustworthy dealer that may be able to submit for her? I've only done PCGS and coins and I'm 3000+ miles away

    she can join ANA...then she can submit it herself.
