hey pab1969,
Cool card...
Bottom of B/B is white ??? I'm lost on that one...
Thank you for the comment. There are two variations of this card. The rarer version has a slight bit of green color in the lower portion in the baseball on the back of the card (card number). The green card background bled into the white ball I'm assuming during the printing process.
Got these two back this week . The Evans I've been looking for a long time as it's a Pop 3 . I believe the Griffey is a Pop 4 . I was the under bidder the last couple times it's popped up .

Here's my most recent pickup. I feel this card has great eye appeal. Traynor has been picked by the so-called experts to be in everyone's lineup at third base for the All-Time Pirates team.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL card, mintonlypis. One of the first cards that I had as a kid back in the 70's, and I probably wrapped a rubber band around it! GREAT pick-up.

Picked up this Rose card recently. Centering and eye-popping color were too hard to pass up...
The Roger Craig PSA 10 is only a pop 8 count, the Craig PSA 10 auto only, will break that out for card and auto grade. The Montana Relics X was my own sub, love that card!
The Brent Jones Disclaimer Back PSA 10 is only pop 3 count. Tough Jones rookie!

I had a card similar in a blue flip years ago and I traded it over a decade ago with a member on these boards for an 86 Fleer Jordan BGS 8.5 and cash. I've regretted it ever since. I had an opportunity to buy this one recently and didn't want to pass it up. Here's my Stargell signed rookie card. POP 7 as authentic and 15 totally graded.

What is the variety?
These Topps cards are labeled "Disclaimer Back". They actually put this on the back of cards from 1990 Topps football.
"Topps football player cards are not manufactured, sponsored or authorized by any team or league.” Eventually, Topps was granted a license and the late-issued cards they produced for 1990, had the disclaimer removed from the back.
The disclaimer was removed fairly late in the print run. In fact, factory sets exist with the disclaimer cards.
That 83 Montana signed above, kicking myself for not bidding on it. Saved is, then went out of country and forget to check back in, went for a great price. Everything about that card is prefect, great pickup.

A few highlights from a grading submission that just arrived at my house Monday. So happy to have that BR back, because I'm a huge fan. I've been looking for one for years. This was a crack/resub.

I have done that!! We all have done that! It sucks! Yes, great card, thanks!!
It's been a great few days! I've been seraching for a Yaz card and this one, for my money, is a blazer.
And I've been doing a good amount of TTM stuff lately too. Been trying to knock off the last few guys available for my 79 Topps Auto set (Down to 46 autos to go!!!!) Love Molitor's signature. Took me three tries over the years to get Herb Washington. Very happy to finally have him as well.

hey mintonlypls,
That's Pretty Cherry...
The print uniformity of the dark areas (the dugout) are AMAZING!
Seems only the print spotting in the white areas kept this from a 10.
Ron, Are you the New Yorker that had a nice card shop in Annandale VA 30 years ago? If so I wanted to say hello!

It took many, many months for Topps to finally send this card; totally forgot I picked it up.
Nope, not me. Just an on-again off-again collector for 45 years from CA.
So no hello then?
I picked up this Dormand Rizzuto which is the highest graded and a pop of 1 for this variation.

I have done that!! We all have done that! It sucks! Yes, great card, thanks!!
He looks far more than three years older in the 1978.
For comparison, here's the actual '75 Munson. A little more experienced.
It's been a great few days! I've been seraching for a Yaz card and this one, for my money, is a blazer.

The mailman was good to me yesterday. In keeping with the 1975 theme in the thread lately...
not a big card but i have been wanting an al oliver for my graded 83 topps stars and hall of fame players.
Got one in the mail today, it's shaping up to be a good week. 1986 was a busy year for Bob, playing in 149 games. More than any other year for him.
