Both among the finest in existence. The 1910 was Ex. Dakota collection as well, and has strong cameo contrast, which is extremely rare for the 1910 Barber half. The 1904 is virtual perfection, with incredible toning. No reserve.

One of these days I will obtain a proof barber half dollar. Hopefully as nice as one of yours.
Ideally I would like to build an 1897 proof set.
1897 is def. one of my favorite dates for proof sets. Those 1897,98,99 years in terms of mint execution of proofs was just phenomenal. Those coins came off those presses looking perfect! Some of the absolute best proofs in all of US Numismatics resides in those years!
1897 is a year that has special meaning. Glad to hear 1897 has high quality proof coinage.
