Pack pulled 1992 Fleer Clemens autograph

I am looking to purchase one at some point. I realize there was no stamp/seal/numbering to differentiate a true pack pulled example from one signed in person. I am wondering if anyone has an image of an authentic pack pulled example? I was thinking I could possibly match the marker color/type to hopefully be able to find a pack pulled one.

thanks in advance!

I thought they had embossed those with a Fleer stamp starting around that time.

It seems to me that a bunch of those 90s Fleer/Hoops/Skybox cards are now flooding the market. They are stamped, but that doesn't necessarily make then legit. I fear someone may have obtained some embossers or maybe someone made out with the bankruptcy/back door?

I collect Steve Garvey, Dodgers and signed cards. Collector since 1978.

originally, there was no embossed stamp on the 92 fleer clemens, the embossed stamping started with the 92 ultra Gwynn series. Of late, there have been Ebay sellers that are offering "officially" stamped Clemens autographs. those had to have been done after they were pack pulled. This is what makes identifying which Clemens are pack pulled so difficult. Some are real, some are authentic, but not pack pulled-signed in person later, and others are not authentic at all.

I am in hopes that if I can see a few personally pack pulled examples, it may be possible to match the marker used with others. This would be so much easier had Fleer just somehow marked these.

@craig44 Would PSA authenticate one signed after-market any differently than a pack-pulled version? I have seen some sell that were authenticated, but only the auto was graded with a number.

I dont know the answer to that one. I dont think they would be able to differentiate between a true pack-pulled one and one that has been signed at an autograph show.

I pulled this from a pack in July 1992. It caused quite the uproar from all the other kids at my 11th birthday party :)

Oh, that is perfect! Exactly what I was looking for!! I really appreciate it. And, by the way, you were really lucky. those were 1/35,000 packs!!!
