Ebay Pictures

When I click on the main photo of a listing it goes to a very small picture, not the normal size. If there is a second photo it will be the normal size. It used to be just some listings now its all of them. Anyone else having this issue. It’s very annoying.

    I have noticed this as well - not on all listings, but a significant portion of them.

    Since the last couple of days this is happening to me on all listings.

    Maybe they cut in a change that affects all new auctions moving forward? Is it happening on existing classified style posts?

    I use the phone app and do not see this change. I know of other issue where your search doesn't include all matching results.

    Searched "Ted Williams Lot" when my auction title included those words and a few more such as vintage. My auction would show if I searched the full title or just "Ted Williams" but excluded my auction with the word "lot."

    Ebay customer service agreed that this was limiting the ability to reach people and they offered to start my auction over but it doesn't solve the problem so I declined. I realized the industry doesn't have software certification standards and it's up to the company to enforce quality.

    I wonder if the photo change is meant to improve the user experience, save the company money, or some of both.

    This change with the photos must be a mistake. It makes it impossible to see the item clearly enough to bid with confidence.

    I am now seeing this with all listings. But if you hover over some of these "first" pictures without clicking, they come up very large and you can scroll around to see detail. I agree, you can't make a purchase when no decent image is available.

    ….yes, you can hover if you’re on a computer, but I am almost always on my IPad and there’s no way around it.

    Ebay can't stop changing crap that provides no value that I can see whatsoever. irritating. The worst is the new buyer page. They have ended my feedback participation permanently if they leave it the way it is now. I need to be able to see if feedback has been left on a transaction at a glance. This feature is now gone.

    I collect Steve Garvey, Dodgers and signed cards. Collector since 1978.

    now too when I click on the main image and save it; it’s a smaller image tagged s-l1500 and the 2nd or 3rd image is a larger image tagged s-l1600... :s

    Integration testing into a production snapshot environment with the merged in changes would have produced the issue. It's possible it was an unintentional consequence of a difference change and a regression analysis wasn't correctly performed to identify it.

    eBay doesn't likely need to worry about robust testing when their user base is quick to report bugs.
