Never saw this NGC sticker before "NGC imaged ..."

Maybe someone can shed some light on this NGC sticker on the back of a generation 7 slab. I have never seen one of these before and I was wondering if NGC put these on, for a brief period , when their coins were just starting to be photo documented, to make the collectors aware of this.
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Thanks

    You are correct, it was added to promote their new imaging.
    It started in the early 2000’s and only lasted a brief time.
    Maybe you have a collector holder :)

    Hey, thanks Greenstang. I have never seen this but only speculated once I picked this coin up. I figured there would be someone on this board who might know the answer. 👍
