Quick question

This is one of the most down-to-earth forums I've seen in a long time and I figured I'd get a straight answer from the people here. I don't want this post to be taken as spam-like, but just as something to help me out. I am working on a website for sports cards. Right now, all the information on it relates to cards from 2001 and on. I'm missing the whole vintage side of the market and I want to close the gap. What type of vintage card information would yall want to see on a sports card site? What would be the most helpful that would keep you as a return visitor? Would a vintage section even be helpful on a website? I don't want to be stingy on anything in this vintage section either. Anything and everything is a possibility.

I'd suggest that whatever you do, do it well. Start small, and if you can't tackle the vintage at the start -- no big deal. Add to the content and scope as you gain knowledge and capability. If I go to a site, and the content isn't worthwhile then I never return.
Just my opinion.

IMHO, www.707sportscards.com, has one of the nicest vintage websites I have seen. Everything is easy to find, and everything is listed. Not just the high grade stars, but the mid-to-low grade stars and commons. As a set-buider, I like to see all cards, and not just the showpiece cards.
I believe Jay, "qualitycards", on these forums, and www.qualitycards.com, are one in the same. I could be wrong, but this is also a site I enjoy going to.
Also, as many pictures as possible, can never hurt.

In that case, everything Mikeschmidt said in his first post would do it for me.
