LAS VEGAS -- — Asked whether an extra day off on the road could hurt his Edmonton Oilers, after a schedule change moved Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinal series from Friday to Saturday, coach Jay Woodcroft chuckled and answered with confidence.
"Whether we’re home, away,
or in Hudson Bay,
it doesn’t matter to us
where we play"
I'll just pop into this thread to say this, slightly off topic ...
I was born in Massachusetts, and I know a lot of the New England guys were following the Bruins, until, you know ...😔
Anyway, I've lived in the Dallas area for almost twenty years now. I just want to say that their is a lot of excitement here about the Stars, who look to advance today past the Kraken. This area isn't a traditional hockey area like where I grew up, but when the Stars are good the area really gets behind them.
Huge game tomorrow for the Oilers, I haven't watched their games but have kept up with the scores.
One thing that hasn't made sense to me is that they finished the regular season as the #2 seed behind the #1 seed Vegas in the WC, how did the top two seeds in the conference meet up in round two of the playoffs? Do they format the brackets differently than the NBA?
In basketball if the conference top two seeds win their first round series they can't face each other until the conference finals, assuming both teams win their series in round two. Is this different than the NHL?
Bad game last night they were leading 2-1 and then all fell apart 3 fast goals for LV. Horrible seems like the Canadian ''curse'' for not winning a Stanley Cup may go to 31 years soon. Geez I hope they win this series I truly hope they can pull it off!!!
Well do or die for Edmonton tonight hope they can pull off the win and force a game 7. Otherwise that is it for Canadian teams for the season and now will go to 30 years without a Cup win.
Well that sure sucks!!! Now have to wait till 2023-24 season to start to be able to watch any Canadian team play. Top scores in the NHL still could not get it done feels like Boston.
