I assume it's legit but I'd welcome any feedback.

That’s unusual. Maybe member @lettow will see this thread and give us his opinion.

I have found the folds a bit worrisome (they don't appear to be in the right places).

What I mean is usually typical/legit "miss cut" notes have been folded along the edges where the banknote should have been cut. The folded bits are hidden when the note is stacked into bundles/bricks. Only later, once the note leaves the plant, do the folded extra parts get straightened out. This note doesn't appear as if any of this happened during its production & that's what troubles me. Appears more like a faux error cut from a sheet (IMO)

I don't necessarily disagree with your reasoning, which is why I posted it for opinions. The problem is, I have never seen uncut sheets of these banknotes.

The top edge above the serial number is actually straight, not unevenly cut as the bent paper suggests in the photo.

I suppose I need to try folding that part in the upper right to see if it can result in a straight edge all the way across.

There is a hard fold from the obtuse angle in the upper right down to the obtuse angle in the lower right. If you fold along that line, the extra tab will match the upper edge and the missing corner will line up with the bottom edge.
