Topps basketball is back for the 2023-24 season

Shams Charania,who's as plugged into the NBA as much as anyone else,reports that Fanatics will be putting out Topps basketball for the 2023-24 season. They picked a perfect time to make a comeback with super prospect Victor Wembanyama coming into the NBA next season.

That's good. Potentially they'll make Lebron's 1st and 2nd retirement cards.

I bet they sell out quickly if they do. Hopefully they don't sell parallels directly and they all are randomized.

It will be good to see the Topps's name on Basketball cards again. I can't wait for Topps/Bowman to be on Football again as well!!

I never liked Panini. I think it is because when I was a kid, all they ever sold was stickers. I never considered them a quality product. That feeling just continued when they got licensed for cards. I always thought their logo was silly looking too.

I always thought that Topps Football put out some of the best chase cards in the sport. You had the Rookie Premiere Photo Shoot Autos, the SB Tix Autos,the SB Goalposts and my favorites were the SB MVP Relic FB/Autos usually numbered from 100-200.
I don't know if they stopped these when they lost their license or if it was before then but it would be great to see these return at some point.
