Ever heard of Oscar Schmidt?

I ran across this today, he is often referred to as the greatest player to never play in the NBA, his name is Oscar Schmidt, he was nicknamed the "Holy Hand" and he scored 49,737 points in his career. It should also be noted that Kobe Bryant idolized Oscar Schmidt.

    I honestly don't remember hearing about him, and think that I would have remembered because of the Brazilian connection.

    I'm sorry for the late reply, I was testing out a new Colgate toothbrush. Yes, I searched for some footage of him in NBA preseason and came up empty, but I was able to obtain this photo of him shooting a free throw with the New Jersey Nets in practice. The photo is from his Facebook page and he says the photo is rare.

    And apparently, Oscar Schmidt is a Tom Brady and Patriots fan. There are a couple of photos of him in a Brady jersey, both Patriots and Bucs.

    He actually has quite a few New England Patriots photos on his Facebook page, so he's obviously a Patriots fan. This is from his Facebook page.

    Well, I guess I am an Oscar Schmidt fan!

    I also had never heard of him

    George Brett, Bobby Orr and Terry Bradshaw.
