Hi all. What do you think about this coin? I have got it some time ago. Is it corrosion or normal for it? I hope it's real coin, not fake, isn't it? I didn't have it early.
Peace.

I think it's good. The same: https://live.cayon.com/lots/view/1-205NL5/chile-copiapo-1-peso-1865-ebc-escaso

So, it's not the 1909 re-strike that's pretty common. Either a counterfeit, or an original minted during the blockade of Puerto de Caldera. I haven't handled any originals, but from what i heard - they were all pretty rough. I hope someone with more background on these will chime in.

Thank you for your opinion. I think it's real coin 1865 after looking many lots. Ex-owner thought that the coin has corrosion and i think so and had good price with it (near $170). It's very rare coin for Russia.
I have found some information about the issue this coin: some people think about only restrike, another about original 1865. But... i didn't read all, waited for the coin, now the link is closed: https://www.mycoinalog.com/south-america/chile-coins/chile-1865-peso-pcgs-cleaned/. if anyone has information about the issue, about the issue story, please give me the link to read.
Peace.
The story with it like the story of Cartagena issue 1873: https://www.tauleryfau.com/en/coins-and-bonds-from-the-canton-of-cartagena/ - war issue and disputes about restrike. In Krause catalogue the words about restrike, but it isn't true for 5 pesetas coins, about another nominals - yes. Sorry for bad English.
Peace.
So... no information in English speaking sources, but i have found something in Spanish speaking.

What i understand: the coins one peso really striked in 1865 Copiapo, 50 centavos - no, but they made the stamps in 1865. Later in 1909 in Medina city (don't understand where it is) this coins were restriked by real stamps. And anybody doesn't really know which coin issued in 1865 or 1909 but there are guesses that rude coins (sorry again for my English) were striked in 1865. So i think my coin was striked in 1865. But something else: it seems that ngc-pcgs is calling all "restrike".
If anybody can tell something interesting about it, it will be very good.
Peace.
It a contemporary counterfeit made of 80% nickel, some copper and zinc. Examples show irregular and pitted surfaces and are typically underweight, like this one. The design is also quite different from the originals, specially the stars and shield. They were made at the repair station of the Copiapo to Caldera railway and found buried there some time after the originals. They are actually relatively plentiful, and have some collector value ($50-150 is what I have seen).
Originals are made of silver and weigh 22 grams.
Ok, maybe you are right, it seems yes. Thank you. But i don't understand that many another coins have the same condition and low weight. Maybe it is all counterfeit. I will call for the seller. It's not easy coin's theme.
Peace.
Eddi, what do you think about this one?
21,7 gr.
Peace.
I have returned the first thing. It isn't silver really... fff... Eddi, thanks again. So now i don't understand anything about this coins. And i still have the question about the second, the seller has the price $250 for it.
Peace.
Hi everybody. Can anybody say something about the last coin? Is it real?
Peace.
I don't know, but seems real. I got a real one and the weight is almost the same.
I can post just screenshot from a video, but in about 8 or 9 hours I can send you good pictures of the Chile Spain war. That token born as a consequence of the copiapo port blockade.
I will post some other interesting coins from Chile I just found.
Hello as promised....
It looks not bad. If it's silver i think real coin of their time.
Peace.
