As a seated half dime die variety specialist, this is a genuine 1853 no arrows (V-1), based on:

• blunt flag to 5
• date position high, 5 centered below pendant
• reverse die crack joining UN tops
• reverse die crack from A2 to gap between dentils

And yeah, most people don't know all those diagnostics and might prefer it to be attributed in a slab.
