I was perusing Ebay this evening and came across this nice 1852 rattler LC. I noticed that my LC sets had every type of holder except a rattler. The clincher was it is an upgrade from my current MS62. I didn't hesitate and pulled the trigger immediately. I haven't seen a rattler LC for quite a while. Let me know what you think and show me some more rattlers.

Great coin! It's almost certainly undergraded, but I tend to prefer a 63 in a "rattler" over a 64 in a new-generation holder. Thanks for sharing.
Nice large cent.
I'm embarrassed to admit what I paid for this one....
But, I have yet to see another Rattler GEM CAC and with this level of thumb and skirtline detail for the issue.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I believe this came from Gary Adkins, over 20 years ago. My only rattler LC, also my only “greenie”.
I’ve turned down stupid $ for it, but it is nfs.
I can't imagine there are too many large cents extant in rattlers. Here is one from my favorite classic commem issue. As for the label, you would think PCGS might have been able to squeeze a U into the end of the name, wouldn't you?
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
No U for you!
Tonedeaf is a nickname given to me in reference to my guitar playing ability.
Antique mall find (at a reasonable price too):
I love rattlers, especially the ones that don’t rattle. Mine is solid. Here’s my Large Cent Rattler: 1818 Coronet Cent

Been collecting Rattlers now for 17 years and I still don't have a Large Cent. But I do have 456 of them. They are listed on the registry sets under "First Generation Holders"

Tough grade for the series. Only 3 issues have a 67 population greater than 2 in rattlers.
who boasts of twenty years experience in his craft
while in fact he has had only one year of experience...
twenty times.
That’s pretty cool! Out of your collection, which type of coin is the scarcest in the rattler?

To the best of my memory, I only have two rattlers, a type one gold dollar and a seated dime.
I really like the dime!

I have never regretted this purchase.
And I do like this one very much too.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
The nice thing about the red cents, at least you know they are stable.
Not my Rattler but this is the first time I've seen a coin advertised with a short video. Kudos to this guy!

People on eBay have been posting videos of coins for a while now.
The best is when they forget you can hear the conversations they’re having while taking the video.

@Pnies20 - So you're saying I should spend more time on eBay? 🤣 😉 👍

Copper is hard to find, Lincoln cents are out there just not much.
I have one half cent & one Indian cent, 3 Lincolns, no 2 cent pieces.

19 / 6 coin per last pop report in October of 1989.
Recently acquired on a whim at a small show.
I had no need, but they looked nice and were priced ~Bid, so they came home with me:
