The Art and Craft of Coinmaking by Denis Cooper.

Here is the description from a sale by Charles Davis many years ago where it sold for $450:

Denis Cooper: The Art and Craft of CoinMaking, Spink, London, 1988, 264 pages, well illustrated, laminated boards, quarto. Written by the retired Chief Engineer of the Royal Mint, this well illustrated work explores the coin making process as it evolved since the Renaissance. The sole work of its kind, long out of print and perhaps the most sought after title in the English language.

If you want an in-depth knowledge about making coins, this book is perhaps the most comprehensive look at minting technology written!

This book is in excellent condition with no writing or marks anywhere in or on the book.

    Looks very cool! Are the pictures on the covers of medals that were actually produced? If so, any info on them?
