If you clicked the little star to follow the thread you just need to click it again to un-follow the thread.
If you did not click the star and are not following the thread you need to click on the little gear at the top right of the page you use to sign out. From there click on "edit profile" then click on "notification preferences" scroll down and you will see "send notification for threads I have commented on" un-check the box.
