I like these predictions!

That's right, with Brady out of the way, my Panthers are going to win the division next season, the prediction says so. Time for a little trash talk.
So is that standings prediction a meme? It’s getting hard to tell anymore. 🤔
Jets 11-6 and winning the AFC East??? Who's predictions are these?
I don't know exactly who made these predictions, but I like them!
Raiders 4-13. Is that with or w/o Aaron R. This is really a post for DD to take off on Rodgers.
@doubledragon Please see me in my office on Tuesday, sometime before lunch.
Thanks ...
Yes, I'm looking forward to our dominance of the division next season, and without Brady the Buccaneer ship is off course and sailing into dangerous waters!
Who is QB for the Panthers DD?
Jets and Broncos records are a stretch lol
Dolphins 7-10 doesn't make much sense either
I'm not sure yet, but it doesn't matter, because the prediction says so. Nothing to do now but sit back and enjoy the dominance.
PJ Walker seemed like he gave the Panthers their best shot at winning
I'm honestly not sure what we're going to do at quarterback, I'm hearing that Frank Reich is going to draft one. I think that's one of the main reasons we hired Reich, because he's a quarterback guy. I heard a nasty rumor a few weeks ago that Reich might try to bring in Carson Wentz and reunite with him, I hope not!
Uhhk Carson Wentz is horrible, if I'm the owner I'm putting the brakes on that regardless of what Reich says
I'd rather be a Packers fan than watch Carson Wentz!
...
How about being a Packers fan and Wentz is your QB? How bout them apples?
Did something happen to the niners to turn them into 10-7?
Probably Trey Lance starting?
I doubt Purdy will be ready for the first few games
Niners-Chargers in the SB, Purdy vs. Herbert. Going to be high scoring..............
Panthers 13-4? 🤣

I've heard that the Niners are going with Lance, and of course it's kind of necessary due to the injury. But ...it also made it easier for them to make a decision. I assume they figure that Purdy will be ready to replace Lance if Lance struggles early.
I sure hope the Raiders do better than 4 wins! Will make for a long season as an usher at Allegiant Stadium!

If the 49er's stick with an unproven Trey Lance coming off an injury along with Brock Purdy rehabbing from another injury that 10-7 projection may be wishful thinking. They need a 3rd banana in there as the proverbial "game manager" just in case, someone proven to be competent. That team has too much talent to squander a season on Lance/Purdy alone, as talented as they are.
Jacoby Brissett would be a good option. On the surface his starting QB record last season was 4-7 but that was the result of poor Special Teams play and even worse Defensive play. Brissett could probably start for half the teams in the NFL and improve their record.

If I was a Niners fan, I would want to hear that Purdy (once he is cleared) is the guy moving forward. He didn't play like just a flash in the pan. He is the real deal.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
The Jags legitimately could surprise everyone though!

Yeah, I agree. I mean, these predictions seem funky, but we've all been around long enough to know that the unexpected should be expected when it comes to an NFL season.

I agree and would want to hear the same thing, but going into the season with Lance coming off an injury and unproven and Purdy coming off an injury and less than 10 games played without another QB just sounds like a plan for disaster. Look what happened to the 49er's in the Championship game?? They were foolishly unprepared for what took place.

Of course they need another Qb, but the reality is they have Lance and Purdy. If it was me, and I wanted to balance all competing intentions, I would bring in a solid backup guy who I think could be good in the locker room but would never challenge for a starting spot. I would have Lance be the starter at the beginning of the season. But I would let it be known that the way Purdy played earned him the starting job as soon as he is healthy. If Lance plays incredibly well and pulling him for Purdy is not the obvious choice, then deal with that when the time comes.

So you think if Brissett came in as the 3rd QB he'd be a challenger for the starting job?? He's been a spot starter and backup for most of his career which is why I suggested him for the 49er's. He seems to fit your description above, a solid game manager type or "bridge" QB.
he fits perfectly.
I'm pretty sure that there were niners executives who want to say what I said about Purdy. But the thing is... Purdy probably doesn't need that, and Lance could be negatively affected.
Also, I think Brissett would add some experience and leadership. He certainly isn't a grizzled old veteran but his time in the NFL has shown him to be a good teammate who seems to understand his role as a backup and spot starter. The time in Indy showed he could play an entire season if needed and when Cleveland needed him he showed up and didn't hurt them.
If Brissett is content with getting a nice paycheck, sort of "mentoring" the other two guys and playing when needed I think he could help. His only downside is that he may feel(and hold-out) he deserves the chance to be the starter for someone. While in Cleveland he didn't seem to have been affected by an ego problem, he knew his role.
