I'm not an expert. What are the indicators it's a problem coin?

just as I am about to buy my key dates.....how did you all determine this? I mean, it looks "off" for sure...beard/face in particular. Any particulars would be welcomed - thank you.
The font on the label is the biggest giveaway.

Good eye! I would not have suspected it at first glance, and the cert verification checks out. This is one reason I'm a proponent of Trueview images. At least you would be able to tell if it was the same coin or not.

Does anyone have a clue as to where these are coming from? I checked Alibaba and Aliexpress. No luck there.

Shanghai special, just an older model. They used to pop up a lot on the old version of Alibaba

I wouldn't buy anything especially any keys until you've done your homework.

The listing was removed by eBay. The seller's messages in reply to mine made me suspect that he might have been aware of what he was listing.

Can you explain further please?
PCGS uses Times New Roman, this slab has Garamond Bold.

And the United States uses the U.S. Mint, this coin was of Chinese origin.
Yeah, that one screams "Everything Fake!". Great news that it was removed.

The grade asserted on the label is a reasonable match for the wear on the coin. These are usually way off on fakes.

But would you buy it as genuine?
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Of course not. It's just that they more or less got that part right this time, even if accidentally.

He knew it was bad; actually stole images from another different certed example and listed again; he added the message below the listing trying to be coy:
I reported it; his message back to me when it was removed can't be shown in public
