No arguments here.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ignore list -Basebal21
Brady and the Pats rarely dominated in Super Bowls
Nobody will ever beat his performance against Atlanta though
^^^^^^^ this
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
In the 2nd half.

True, but the end result is all that matters.
Yep just not good enough for top 3.

Please.
Let me know when you come up with a better performance than Bradys "2nd half" in any bigger game ever.
You won't
What about the poor 1st half to be that far behind? That's why he's not top 3.

Last I checked they don't decide the outcome of games in the first half
We're talking about overall game stats though.

Then sure I will give that to Montana against the Broncos 1990
No argument there
Brady, even in SB losses, put his team into position to win. Starting with the first one where he led a 2 minute drive into FG range. Even when he didn't play as well as he'd like, he finished strong and put it in the hands of the defense.
But yes, he is only the greatest SB QB ever in terms of appearances and wins...if you go purely by stats.
@perkdog is right about 28-3. Greatest comeback ever. As always, Brady kept his guys motivated. Yes, he had a moment of dejection after the pick 6. But that was it. If you watch the micd film, you will see that he believed.
That was one of his greatest attributes. And eventually anyone who played with him never felt like they were out of it.
just went back and zipped thru NE-Atl starting at 28-3 to get the juices flowing today. Brady put on a clinic.............pinpoint precision, just gashing Atlanta at will
i kept waiting for a Falcon to make a play but it didn't happen

I love this game winning drive. SB 36. Madden goes from...the Patriots are making a mistake....to...he kind of likes what they are doing...to....what the Patriots did gave him goosebumps....
PS Don't expect to start a thread like this and not have some Brady SB clips included. lol

28-3 comeback is what legends are made of. Brady is a legendary QB even without that comeback.

just watched that clip. couple of thoughts.
Madden saying that it was a mistake to do anything other than kneel with 1:21 left on their own 17 just goes to show how far we've come in 20 years. that's an eternity in the NFL nowadays and no coach -- not even the dumbass ones who don't sneak with less than a yard to go -- would opt for OT there.
that was Charles Johnson @ 4:52. he committed suicide last year.

.....
You are right. Really there are two things going on. edited to cross out that sentence 1:21 is now an eternity. Especially because teams practice this so much. 1:21 with no timeouts in today's NFL is still not seen as impossible, but your level of hope depends on the QB. Back then, 1:21 and no timeouts was all about who you had under center. And the Patriots had Brady. Which is why Madden is truly hesitant. I have read a lot about Brady's time at Michigan and his first two years with the Patriots leading up to this moment. To many people, this was the next Montana standing back there at this moment. Even if most America didn't know it yet. The Patriots players and coaches had 100% belief that he would lead them down into field goal range.
If you notice, on that drive Brady does a few things that many veteran QBs still fail to do in important moments. Take the time to go through his reads. Effectively throw a dump off. Not take a sack, instead throwing it away. Getting the ball towards the sidelines, but not only focusing on the sidelines. Time was of the essence, and the biggest chunk would come from the middle of the field.
The issue with this list is that it was written in 2009. even though it was in a losing cause, Brady in SB 52 threw for 505 yards 3 td and 0 int. A dominating performance. Not to mention the 28-3 game.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
