I'm selling this coin, so it's really my last chance to ask, but what generation is this holder? I've never seen that color of insert before or since.

Offhand, I am not certain which generation this is in part because of the label color- looks like a light green and not white- but does not appear faded. My gut says it was likely graded in the 1994-1997 time frame- if not earlier.
Swiss coinage from this period has a decent survival rate in terms of quality-

Just for fun, I pulled my PCGS pop report from July 1994- Swiss is included- the pop at that time for the 1934 B 1/2 Fr was 58 in 67 and 23 in 68 and 1 at 69. My guess is your coin was graded prior to July of 1994

The link below will shed some light on this holder.

Funny how a better bid for paper labels has created a whole collectiing genre.
It’s faded, there are a couple tags that were prone to fading, this is one of them. The light green rattlers did too, easily, I think it’s due to a semi defective blue used in the dying process. I’ve had some of each that were very yellow, so much so that I would have sworn they were made that way. I believe it is because of exposure to UV rather than heat. If they spent a fair amount of time seeing the sun in a display case or something they’d fade. Maybe not even direct Sun, but ambient UV light.
I think it would be interesting to do an experiment.
